Transport

We encourage all course participants to meet at our local train station. This is the pick-up point for all courses. So reduce your carbon footprint and take the train.

We have limited facilities for cars on-site restricted to course facilitators and the on site staff. In this way we hope to limit the road traffic through our beautiful woodland.

Feet are made for walking, so come on chaps use them. Don’t worry we will run a shuttle service to get all your kit up to the venue leaving you the time to enjoy an inspiring amble through the woods on your arrival.

Keeping warm

There is nothing like an open fire. The Woodland Workshop is heated by a traditional wood burning stove, all the fuel for which comes straight from the sustainable woodland management in operation on the site.

The Barn was constructed from the oak right here at Woodland Skills using traditional methods for construction including heavy horses. Although from the outside the Workshop looks rustic it has been well insulated and has double glazing. A cosy space to hold a meeting or workshop.

Reuse and Recycle

We are busy bees and recycle wherever we can. So look out for the glass, plastic paper and card containers when you visit us and remember our motto

'Leave only ripples'

We have a lovely permaculture garden in the pipeline so all green waste is used to make compost that will give all our seedlings the best start in life, the worms love it too.

All our company literature is printed on recycled paper products.

Community

We are working at forging lasting links with local groups including schools colleges and charities working with disadvantaged kids. All are welcome here.

Welcome
